weekend update

Rob and I had a date on Saturday night. Mom and Dad (were down for a visit) watched the girls for us!

We live a wild life.....we went to Barnes and Noble bookstore and then ate at PF Changs for dinner.

Papa and Memom were able to watch Jenna play basketball on Saturday morning with a local youth team!

Jenna's team won and had a great game. Jenna was able to attempt two baskets, no they didn't go in, but the ball hit the rim both times.

Meghan was the picture taker for the day.

Sarah picked up both the big girls' DS games and was saying something to Meghan in this picture.

I was able to get a good picture of Memom and three of her girls!

13 months

Sarah is 13 months old and a very busy little girl.

She is a super fast crawler and can take a few steps, but hasn't taken off with walking just yet.

We think it will be any day and she will be running down the hall!ha

The hardest thing to do is keep her still and busy in one place for a few minutes.

She crawls all over and is into EVERYTHING.

She has been going to sleep on her own for about a week and she is doing great.

The only problem is she wakes a few times each night crying...my guess is because of teething pain.

Poor big sister, Jenna, shares a room with Sarah, so Jenna is super tired.

Sarah has two bottom teeth and four "bumps" on top...so hopefully the top teeth will "pop" in and we will get a break from teething for a little while.

Sarah eats all big girl foods and loves to snack too.

She is still in size 3 diapers and 12-18 months clothing.

She has started wearing the 6-12 month shoes too. I have her wearing the soft leather shoes, so it's like she is just in socks...but not!

Sarah loves to pick out hair bows, but doesn't keep them in very long.

She also loves to brush her hair and teeth.

Sarah is talking more and more and just the other day she said hot dog!! She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the show has a hot dog song and Sarah loves to dance to it!

5 needles....2 appointments later

Sarah and Sissy both had doctor appointments today.

Sarah had her 1 year check up!

She weighs 20lbs 3 oz and is 30 inches long.

Sarah wears size 12-18 months clothing and 18 month sleepers.

She is in size 3 diapers and 0-6 month shoes.

Sarah loves to pick out a bow for her hair after I get her dressed but she doesn't keep it in...it stays in for just a few minutes each day.

One of Sarah's favorite things is the TV remote...and she can use it too.

Sissy had a doctor appointment today too. She has a growth on her foot and it started bleeding and changing colors when we had snow/ice on the ground. The Vet did some lab work and it is a benign tumor (mass). They suggest we get it removed....but told us Sissy also has a heart murmur too...on a scale of 1-6 it is a 3. The Vet said Sissy could live a long time with the murmur or she could have heart failure quick...different with all dogs. Because of the heart murmur I don't think we will get the mass removed. I don't want to put her under with heart problems and the mass doesn't bother her.

This is after I told Sarah she was getting shots today! haha

Poor baby girl...this is what she looked like at the end of her doctor appointment.

She has an ear infection too...her first one and this is her first time on antibiotics.

My sweet little princess keeps us all on our toes and is one busy little lady!

Play-doh fun

Sarah has watched the girls play, create and make a mess with the play-doh but today was her first time getting in on the action. Meghan and Jenna were very excited to have her join them in the fun.

Sarah did try and take a little taste....but if you say yuck to her, she makes a gag sound and won't put it in her mouth. Jenna loved to eat/taste the play-doh and I wouldn't be surprised if she sneaks a little taste every once in a while still.
