Big girl

I wasn't going to keep monthly posts going for Sarah, but wanted to share this recent picture of her because she looks so much older. It's like she woke up and wasn't a baby anymore. She looks more like a little girl and not so much like a baby girl these days. She is on the go from the moment she wakes up.
Thankfully she likes to watch a little TV or I wouldn't get very much accomplished during the day.

Her favorite place(s) to play is her big sisters' rooms.
Yesterday she climbed on Meghan's bed and got cozy with all the stuffed animals. Meghan then helped hide all but her head!

Bzzing about stuff

While we were living in England, I heard of a company that sent out really cool things for free. All I had to do was try it, talk about it and then tell the company what I thought...and what I said about it.
I have had some pretty awesome campaigns and they are getting better and better.
I am a Bzzagent for a Word Of Mouth company and I love it!
I take surveys and fill out questionaries to see what fit with me and my life.
This most recent campaign is for the Comfort brand baby/toddler products. These are sold at Kroger and since that is my main shopping stop this was pretty cool.
I have used these diapers and wipes for a few months and love them. The price is what lured me in at first. I wanted to try a new diaper that didn't break the bank....or leak.
It's bonus that I get to try a pack of diapers and wipes for free....because I would have purchased them anyway.

I like that the sizes of the diapers are actually correct....meaning they have a weight on the pack to show what size is needed and they actually fit! I have found other brands run a little small. They also don't leak, they have nice elastic around the legs but don't leave marks.
The wipes that I like are the thick ones because I don't want to use half a container for one change and these are nice and thick and are fragrance free.
The new item for us to try is the cups! Sarah used one for her milk at dinner and it was a nice size in her hand and worked well for her. I did leave out the plastic internal tab because she is old enough to use it without it.
Great products and a great price!

Winter Finally Arrived

We finally got enough snow that it almost covered the ground.haha
It has been in the single digits for the past few mornings and I love the cold crisp feel in the air.
The snow is slowly melting and I think later this week we will be back in the 40s and it might even rain.

I hope I can post snow pictures at least one more time this year, with more than an inch on the ground.

Home is where the military sends you..

I'm linking up today to Kelly's Korner for the "show us your life....Military families". We are not currently active duty....but most of the 30-some years of my life have been as a dependent to my Dad then my husband in the U.S. Air Force. I was born on a military base and moved around with my family until my Dad retired. I was born in North Carolina....then we moved to, North Dakota, Germany, Montana, and Nebraska then returned to North Carolina. I met my husband in North Carolina (he was active duty)...we were married 2 1/2 years later. We stayed in NC for a while. We had our first child in NC...then headed to California (had baby #2)....then England (had baby #3)....South Carolina for less than a year, and we are now calling Ohio home. I have loved living the military life and miss it. I love that I have had the chance to see the country and parts of the world, memories that will last a lifetime!

Couponing....again

This is what $37.80 will buy you......if you have a coupon savings of 39.8%!
My goal for the year is to save more money during my grocery shopping trips and this trip is helping me achieve my goal.

There is a Dora DVD in the picture, but that wasn't included in my savings, because it was purchased with cash (Sarah's birthday money)....but everything else was part of my savings. I purchased a few items for a birthday gift and they were not on sale...but still got everything at a great price.
Things I have learned and need to pay attention to....
try and make sure your items are scanning correctly. My Slim Fast drinks scanned a $1 each more than price listed on the shelf. My cashier corrected the price and I got all 4 4-packs for $9.96 because I had Buy one get one coupons!
Also, watch when they are scanning your coupons....some might stick together or the cashier might put in the wrong amount.
I also make sure nothing is scanned twice.
I have also started to price check items at the different places I shop....I want the best deal.
I don't spend too many hours a week on my couponing, but what I do spend pays off.
I don't go to the store without a list and on my list I note if an item has a coupon or is part of a deal.
The more I save...the more I get excited about saving more!

Lazy weekend

We have been having a lazy weekend and loving it!
Meghan and Jenna have played dolls almost all weekend.
Meghan moved her doll house into Jenna's room, so the dolls could be neighbors.

I moved Sarah's playhut tent into her room and she loves going in it and reading books.
She wasn't very happy when I opened the flap to take her picture.

First snow day of 2012

snow pants...check
snow boots....check
Hats, coats, gloves...check, check and check

Sled....check!

We didn't get much snow, but it's super cold and there was enough snow for the girls to pull each other around the yard with the sled. Sarah tried to eat the snow. Meghan and Jenna went out a second time and tried to collect enough snow to make a snowman, but there isn't enough this time to make one.
It is still snowing, but I don't think it will be more than a few inches.
