Fall is in the "air"

Long pants, jackets....

canned pumpkin on the grocery shelves again.....

Standing by the stove to warm up.....

Pumpkin bread and all other yummy fall/winter treats filling up the house with wonderful smells.

Fall is my favorite season!
I love to cook when it's cool/cold outside and I love the crisp chill in the morning air.
Happy Fall.

Columbus Zoo part 2

I wanted to share just a few more pictures of us just hanging out at the zoo...and how fitting to show who else was just hanging around at the zoo with us!

These were the biggest bats I've ever seen in person....

I told Meghan to climb on this statue and act like she was fighting with it......she would so be his lunch:)

Jenna wanted a picture at every statue:)

Polar bear Dad, Brown bear Meghan, Panda bear Jenna and Sun bear Sarah;)

I love that I caught Rob and Meghan chatting and walking along. Look how tall Meghan is!

Jenna and I (and Sarah) were on the hunt for a warm location to have our lunch in this last picture!

Well that wraps up the zoo trip!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as we enjoyed the zoo.

Columbus Zoo

Welcome to the Columbus Zoo! It started out like a dreary, cold English day...but warmed up and turned out beautiful!

We all (except Sarah) got a cup of warm coffee/hot chocolate to start off the trip at the Zoo. We had to sit down until the girls sipped some of theirs because they were spilling and walking at the same time.

Rob and the girls checked out the petting area and got up close and friendly with some goats.
They also petted a snake, star fish and a crab.

If you ask any of us who our favorite animal was....we all decided it was the Grizzly Bear!
She/he was very big but seemed chilled out...thankfully it looked well fed!

The brown bears put on a show for us by fighting over a spot on the rocks.
I also got some video of it...might try and show it later.

Sarah walked a lot of the time, but late in the day she was tired and needed a push.

Jenna told me to put this picture with the two Orangutans because she said this was her and Meghan!ha

We all had a fun time at the zoo. Meghan told Rob she had an awesome birthday!!

21 months

21 months old is the age of my baby girl today!
I asked her if I could take her picture today and I guess she decided she needed to make it as hard on me as she could!
Her answer to all questions is "no".
Sarah looks so much like her big sisters at this age....both of them, yet they didn't look alike at this age.

Sarah is 26 lbs and about 33 inches tall. She is wearing 24m-2t clothing and size 4 diapers.
I think she is in size 5-6 shoes (depends on the brand).

She loves playing little people, talking to Memom and Papa on the phone and watching Dora. She also likes to pretend cook and takes great care of her baby dolls.

I didn't do a 20 month post update....but wanted to do a 21 month update. I can't believe at 21 months Meghan became a big sister to Jenna!

Sarah is a mover and a shaker.....she talks, runs, plays and keeps us extra busy and entertained.
She has started talking in some short sentences and follows directions well.
She can put her own dirty laundry in the hamper and she will put things in the trash can when asked to do it.

Sarah loves picking up her sisters at school and wants to hang out with them when they are doing homework, they tell her to draw/color for her homework.
Sarah is the sweetest baby sister and she has two pretty awesome big sisters!

Day in the life

Sissy just hanging out....following me around....begging for food!

Jenna just hanging out...playing games on the computer....

Big sister helping baby sister with her ABC puzzle!
Sarah asks to play with it..."Mom, ABCs...ABCs"

She is pretty good with putting the pieces in correctly.
***Funny side notes. While leaving school the other day Meghan's friend was walking with us,then headed off in another direction.......Sarah yelled out "Bye kid, bye kid"!
*Meghan took something from Sarah the other day and Sarah came up and pointed to her hand and said.."Meme, boo boo Mom"!haha (Meme is what Sarah calls Meghan)

I was looking for some fall decorations....

and this is what the girls found!

But seriously, I was trying to find my fall decorations and still didn't locate some of them.
I have no idea where they could be. I thought I was organized when we moved from SC....guess I was wrong.
I still haven't found my Ipod Shuffle.....maybe my pumpkins and fake fall flowers are with it!

Sarah really got a kick out of wearing the wig, but she didn't want her picture taken.

I barely caught Sarah in this one picture, she was playing peek-a-boo with me.

My soon to be 9 year old with a shark tooth:) If you look close, you can see Meghan has an adult tooth that needs space, but she is too scared to pull the baby tooth out....but she only has until her next dental appointment to get it out...or it's getting pulled by the dentist.
I really would love for her to actually pull one of her teeth out! Maybe this will be the one!

My middle, sweet and sassy girl in her clown wig!

Well, let me get back to my search!

Gutters....new and old!

I was very excited to see the gutter guys here around lunch to put on our new gutters!
I get excited easy!
We found out the house was trimmed in black before the siding went up, so I know why we had black gutters.
I think changing the gutter color to match the siding really makes the house look great!

Old....

New...
These guys did a great job and I think my front flower bed will thank us for this change!
We will no longer have a huge "drip" when it rains.
We increased the depth and size of the gutters and the downspout is larger too.

Next up.....new shutters!

Shed and yard work

This is how we party on the weekends!haha
**no work was completed during college football games**haha
The shed was in need of some trim paint.
We picked a black trim and Rob and the girls went to work.

The girls were doing such a great job, Rob stepped away for a minute or two to chat with the neighbor.
Well......never leave my girls alone with paint!haha
While Rob was talking to the neighbor, the girls decided to fling paint at each other.
Good thing they were painting outside and in old clothes.

Rob sent the girls in and finished up the front.
We still need to paint the rest, but the front looks fresh and new!

My new plant stand in the florida room!

My little watermelon....hope it gets big enough for us to eat it!
We actually have 5 little watermelons.
This one pictured...and sorry it's a little blurry...is the biggest one!

Meghan had some weekend homework, so she is reading and working on it out in the sunshine!

Rob doing a little yard work.
