Reading and One Year

Big girls wanted to read outside the other evening and Sarah decided to join them.

Today marks one year of living in Ohio.
We have had a busy year and we have loved living here.
We are making our mark in this home (big changes will be shown soon, but not too soon) and making it our own.
We are really enjoying putting down roots and settling in for however long we decide to live here.

Sarah loves Dora books and we read many many many (you get the point) every day.
All the girls have grown and changed so much this past year.

I just wish life would slow down a little because I'm really enjoying the ride!

Sarah spelling her name

Sarah is one letter away from spelling her name correctly.
She is 28 months old.

All Done

Demo is all done and we are all excited to see what the kitchen will look like!

We found three things when we removed the final countertop.  A YMCA card that expired in 1990, an address on half of a bank slip (no acct number was on it) and a coupon that expired in 1985!

Changes

Here is a sneak peek at my kitchen in the middle of demo. We are going to wait as long as we can to remove the sink, stove and dishwasher.  If all goes as planned, we will have new cabinets up by the end of this week.

Here is another change....my little girls growing up way too fast.

A sweet picture of my 4 girls.
(Sissy showed up for the picture on her own)

This sweet little smile melts my heart.

I'm not babes

Conversation with Sarah (age 27 1/2 months)
Me:   "Hey babes, come let me change your diaper".
S: "I'm not babes, I'm Sarah. Dad is babes....oh no, Dad is not babes...he is Rob."

She is a smart little girl!

Friday night

Me and my exhausted baby girl, before her bath.

We worked hard to get this smile to show!

haha I love this picture of Rob and Sarah. Rob was taking his own picture and Sarah was checking out what was happening.  She had a dirty face from a busy evening outside.

 Me and my sweetie.
We don't get our picture taken together enough.

A natural smile from my biggest girl.
She doesn't like her picture taken these days.

My big girl, who loves to have her picture taken.

My girls

My girls are growing up way too fast.
I can't believe this year Meghan will be 10....

Sarah has turned into a little girl recently.
She is still just 2 and in diapers, but she thinks she is a big girl.
(check out how long her hair is!)

Jenna is the only one that sat still for me to take her photo.
My rough and tough beauty.

I attempted to take a photo of me and my girls...it took forever to get Sarah to lay down and she was looking good until...the picture was taken. She looks like she is upset, but she wasn't.  Will attempt another photo soon...and may try to get Rob in it too.

Easter 2012

Happy Easter!!!

We had a surprise basket on the front porch on Saturday evening.  We know it is from one of our wonderful neighbors, we just don't know which one.  They have all done something special for us and the girls for each holiday.....so we hope we find out which one left the basket, so we can thank them.

After the neighbor left a surprise, we all headed to bed and the Easter bunny stopped by with some goodies.
Meghan wrote a letter and we told the bunny we wanted to hide eggs in the backyard, so the bunny left a few
packs of plastic eggs for us.

Meghan loves to sleep in, but on fun days like today she is the first one up....way too early.
She woke up Jenna, but I didn't let them wake up Sarah.  Sarah slept about 30 minutes longer than the rest of us.
She wasn't expecting a surpise waiting for her, but she was so excited when she saw a table full of goodies.

When the sun showed up and it warmed up a little Rob hid the eggs and the hunt began.
We had 32 eggs to hide for the girls and they found 31.....
We have looked all over, but still haven't found the last egg.

Sarah is a pro at egg hunts after doing the one at the church yesterday.
She takes her time, so we made sure the big girls left some around for her.

Meghan and Jenna had their American Girl dolls helping in the egg hunt too.

Sarah was so excited about finding the eggs!

It looks like Sissy is looking for a few eggs too.

I think Meghan was still looking for her Golden Egg when I took this last picture!
We had a fun filled family day today and made many memories.

Easter Eggs

This was Sarah's first year helping color the eggs. I think she really enjoyed it and was much more patient to wait for her turn than the big girls.

Sissy likes to hang out with us and she likes to get in on the action when we have family time.
She had a rough Friday night, so I like that she stays close by, so I can keep an eye on her.

Sarah moved around to try and get a hold of some of the eggs, but it didn't work.

Our finished eggs!
We have lot's of fun and I think the girls would paint a few dozen if we let them.

Easter Egg Hunt 2012

 Sarah's first official Egg hunt.
St. Andrews UMC.

 My happy baby girl.

 Big girls still finding eggs.

I wanted to take a picture of the girls with their baskets full of goodies but they were more interested in the goodies, so no one was looking at me.

 We had a fun afternoon.
Egg hunt, face painting, cookies/cupcakes and a craft.
