Meghan and Jenna decided to drag out all the art supplies right as I'm trying to get things cleaned up and organized for the packers/movers. I decided Sarah could get in on the action too. She didn't last long because she figured out how to squeeze her little paint animals on her fingers then she tried to eat it!

So I'm thinking of making my blog public again, but I need to work out how to keep my pictures mine. I have had pictures taken from my facebook page a few times and I'm sure from the blog. I've recently had blog friends and real life friends pictures "stolen" and used by other people on blogs, facebook and just in life. As much as I want to share my life with family and friends around the world, I still think I should have the right to decide if my pictures are shared on other peoples pages and sites.

Hollon family

Karen was Meghan's Kindergarten teacher assistant and I became friends with Karen that year. I am saddened by what has happened in her life. Her husband Steve had just retired from the Air Force and they were staying with family while a home was being built for them.

On Friday April 15th, tragedy struck Karen and her family. The home they were staying in was hit by a tornado as one of many storms passed through Alabama. Karen's husband, her father-in-law and her sister-in-law all lost their lives. Her mother-in-law and her two daughters were all injured, as was she. I hope that by collecting some money for them, we can ease some of the financial burden that is going to be facing her. Thank you for any donation. Every little helps, and Karen will appreciate anything. She is a wonderful, dearly loved lady, and we all wish her a good recovery and healing.

Sarah's teeth are taking their own sweet time coming in.

She only has 5 teeth (with one of those just in).

Kinda funny to say her teeth are coming in.....should be saying finally coming out. She has had little bumps all over her gums for a long time but the teeth don't seem to want to break through.

Hottest day yet

Today was one of the hottest days for us this year (2011). Last summer when we landed in North Carolina from the UK the warm sun felt awesome....well the humid warm sun. I actually enjoyed the warm humid air last summer and early fall.....it didn't bother me or feel too hot. Well today I have another story.....80 some degrees and super humid today and I don't think I can handle it any more!ha No seriously, the girls tried to play outside today but got too hot and flushed and then late in the day we all tried to play outside but couldn't handle the heat. I sure hope Ohio doesn't get like this....or at least let it creep up on us slow. I actually had to turn the a/c on in the house tonight because 80 degrees is way too hot to sleep in.

The girls and I are counting down and can't wait to move up to Ohio and see our new home! We have an exciting last week in South Carolina planned....well, we hope to have extra visitors that last week (we will post later on them, if it happens). Mom and Dad are coming down to help keep an eye on the movers and then will drive up to Ohio with us. Three little girls and a dog doesn't sound like a fun drive for one person to take on. At least not my three with one having car sickness, one asking if we are there yet (as we pull out of the drive), Sarah might be the easy one (well after you fight her to get her in the car seat)....and then old Sissy dog. Sissy will start crying as soon as the movers show up (well actually when I put clothing in the suitcases and won't stop until we pull into the driveway in Ohio.

Oh, and for any of my facebook friends.....I'm taking a vacation from it for a while but plan to return.

Oh and why did I decide to make my blog private?....well, I feel like I can write more about us and what we are doing. I didn't mind the visitors from all over stopping by, but always had to make sure I didn't give out anything too private. Crazy people in the world these days!

Life update

I love adding pictures on the blog but I think I'm suppose to type on it too!ha

We have been super busy and working hard to get a move going for us. I think I will be all moved out since this is the second move in over a year....with the first one being an international move.

Rob has a job and we are almost home owners in the state of Ohio! I can't remember the last time I was in that state, but will soon call it home. Rob went up to house hunt and I have agreed to purchase the house sight unseen.....fingers crossed that Rob actually knows my taste.

If all goes as planned....we will be in our own home in three weeks!!! AHHH, so much to do and so little time!ha

I have been super worried about the big girls with this move because we just moved here. They are excited and even though there will only be about a month left of school they are ready to move and get settled.

I'm trying to look at the positive side that the girls will not be so nervous about starting school in the fall, because it won't be a new school for them.

I had to add this picture of Sarah. She is a cutie pie and is changing and growing up way too fast. She loves to hang outside with her sisters and just walk around and pick grass.

She finally has 4 teeth!

She loves to play ball and get dirty.

She also loves her dolls and playing with her sisters.

She is an awesome big sister and younger sister.

Her smile melts my heart.
