14 years and counting

Happy Anniversary to the love of my life.
We have had some awesome adventures and I look forward to many more.

3 months old

Look who is 3 months old already!

Big girl is weighing in at about 15 lbs.

Happy girl most of the time.
Sarah is rolling over on her side and almost on her tummy.
She is a big eater and eats about every 2.5-3 hours.
Sarah is still talking a lot......she loves to talk to all of us.
As you can see she can hold her head up and prop herself up on her arms too.
Sarah sits in her highchair with us at dinner and has even tried rice cereal.
Baby girl is growing way too fast.

mismatched playtime

I'm sure you can guess who is having more fun. Sarah does enjoy laying around with her
sister's and playing, but I don't think they give her a chance to do anything.

Sarah can only hold her head up for a short time, but she is getting better each day.
She loves to look around and her most favorite spot is on the couch.

Jenna and Meghan have crazy styles and just love to mismatch their clothes.
Meghan decided this day to wear Jenna's clothes.

It's not where you go....it's what you do once you get there

We have had so much fun at each and every place we have lived. Each place has the pros and the cons. As I type this I'm freezing (not really...but I'm really cold) and I see that as one of the cons about living in England. The pros of living here is the experience living in another country, visiting castles and places that have so much history and driving to another country in less time than it took me to drive from California to my sister's house in Arizona. I can look back at living in the hot dry desert and see the pros of living there too.
Our adventure will continue this summer with a move back to the states for Rob to go back to school and get a PhD in Chemistry!!! Oh so excited that he is getting this opportunity and the girls and I will support him and cheer him on while he is in school (and enjoy a new area).
For the record......I did not pick the state nor the part of the country we are moving to. But I am very excited about it though. If all works as planned we will be heading to South Carolina to Clemson University.
We haven't lived near my parents since 2003 and I think it will be fun to be a days drive from them. If Meghan and Jenna had there way they would move in to the house beside Memom and Papa....but I think a state away will work too!!
Things I look forward to.......paying at the pump for gas (I only buy gas on the base and have to pay at a window), eating out at some very yummy american restaurants, shopping at Target (and Walmart and the list goes on), a bigger house, getting my bedroom furniture out of storage (and all our other things), cheaper car insurance!!
So thankful we have had this experience and look forward to all the other adventures heading our way!

Weekends should be longer

I think weekends should be at least one day longer.....but not sure how I can get that changed.
We had a nice quiet weekend and Jenna is feeling a lot better. Sarah and I have been sick but not as bad as Jenna was. Sarah seems to be doing a little better today too....she is very funny....she will be coughing and then it's like she is mad at the cough and yells out "AHHHH". She has been spitting up a little after nursing because of the coughing and phelm...but not as bad today.

We have had sunshine this weekend and it was so nice to see. The temps need to move up and then it will be super nice. We stayed home on Saturday and watched movies and ate junk!!
Rob and the girls let me sleep in on Sunday ( I sleep in until Sarah needs to eat). We tried out the new Chicco Liteway stroller and walked to the base for lunch. It looked warmer than it really was and we were very chilly by the time we returned home. Well, all were cold except Sarah because I put her in the Bundle Me Cole in her stroller. Oh, and I love the stroller:)
Rob took the girls on a short walk/hike at a nature reserve up the road too. Meghan said they saw bird pecker holes in the trees and the girls said they heard birds, but didn't see any. The girls love hiking and walking on nature trails. They also saw dogs, a wooden hedgehog and Jenna brought some acorn shells home.

This week coming up is back to "normal" with the girls heading back to swim lessons. I have signed them up for a private lesson and I hope they enjoy it. The last time we had them in private lessons they were overwhelmed with how intense the lessons got. Since they are both swimming better I think they will enjoy having the pool to themselves.
Hope you all have a great week!!

Sickness has hit

Well, we have been very very lucky this winter and we have all been well....I did have a bad cough before delivering Sarah...but besides that we have missed most of the bugs being passed around. Until now....Jenna started the coughing and it has just gotten worse since last Tuesday. She has been home for two days from school and I hope tonight is going to be a good night for her. It gets worse at night and she needs a good night sleep...and so do the rest of us. Jenna has been very kind to share her bug and Sarah has started coughing with a runny nose. I have started Sarah on saline spray and so far it hasn't gotten worse. Rob and I have both coughed a little today too...hope we don't get it like Jenna. Meghan, who is normally the one who gets sick, is feeling good and I hope it stays that way.

I am still recovering from my appendectomy and had my follow up with the surgeon today. All looks great and I'm recovering nicely. He was very surprised I never took the narcotic pain meds he gave me. I really didn't need them because the motrin took my pain away. I am hoping to start walking a little starting next week but won't be able to do any other exercises for at least 4-6 weeks.

I am looking forward to all of us well:)
