Trip the the Butterfly park

Meghan's class headed out friday on a field trip to a butterfly and wildlife park in Lincolnshire.
I was not able to go, but a good friend snapped some shots of Meghan for us.
Tha park has tropical gardens, tropical bird aviary, wildlife/animals, birds of prey and a play park.
The bus ride was one hour and 30 mins and Meghan didn't feel sick on the bus!!

weekend was a bust

We have had some beautiful weather and I decided we would head out on Saturday to the Dinosaur adventure park. The girls and I were waiting on Rob to finish getting ready when our day's plans changed. Jenna starting throwing up and was sick the rest of the day. I'm so happy it happened before we left for the park. She tried telling us she was fine to go, but she didn't look like she needed to go anywhere but to bed. She gave the washer some work because she missed the trash can a few times, but caught on late in the day.
Meghan was really bored but Rob and I kept her busy most of the day.
Jenna woke up not feeling well this morning, but after eating some toast she was feeling a lot better. I hope it is only a weekend sickness and she wakes up 100% tomorrow.
If everyone stays well we are heading off this afternoon to the movies to see the Tooth Fairy...hope it is a good movie.
Our house is heated with oil and this morning the house was a little chilly, but I thought it was because I had turned down the heat.....WRONG. The boiler was tripped because the oil line had air in it. I found all this out the hard way....I was in the shower and was freezing trying to get the water to heat up. I had to get out, dry off and wait a few hours for the water heater to heat up.
I can't believe it is almost May!! Where has the last few months gone??? We will be getting pretty busy with school field trips and moving business!! I'm getting pretty excited about our move back to the states. The girls will get to spend tons of time with my family. We haven't lived near them since Meghan was 6 months old, it is kinda cool to think we are moving back with Sarah around 6 months old! Some of my most favorite childhood memories are from my Grandma Moore's house. It was a small three bedroom house and there were always a lot of people there (we visited in the summer) and I thought it was the coolest place on earth:) The funny side of it is the house didn't have air conditioning and I slept on the floor when more than one family was staying there....but hey those are the small things in life. My Grandmama and Granddaddy had 17 children and many many grandkids, but they always made everyone feel special. (I probably could do another post on all the fun we had with them)

4 months

My baby girl will be 4 months old tomorrow....where has the last 4 months gone??!!
I will post about her weight, length and all that good stuff after her check up which is on the 10th of May.
Sarah is a very happy baby girl and is a great little traveler. She has been on her first road trip which included another country...Wales.
Sarah eats a little bowl of rice cereal and a half container of a veggie for dinner. She also nurses right after she eats. She normally eats every 3 hours and wakes one time during the night to nurse. Nursing is going great and she is growing like a weed.
She can move all around her bed and roll on her side.
Sarah has the cutest little laugh.
She loves to talk and has even talked to Memom and Papa on the phone.
She reaches for toys and other objects and loves to pull hair.
I think she has started teething and is a little fussy these last few days.
Sarah and I had fun taking her picture today....check out my sweet baby girl:)

Hampton Court Palace

I love the Tudors and I'm talking about the show and the actual time in history with Henry VIII. I am not sure I remember much about history from high school since it was so many years ago, but I am in love with it since living in England. I love learning about it and then going to the sites/castles/places to see where it all took place.
Going to Hampton Court and seeing what Cardinal Wolsey built and then what Henry VIII had done to the palace after he took it was awesome.
The most interesting thing I heard during our time touring the place was something I over heard someone say in the Gardens.....two locals on bicycles passed me and the lady said, "maybe one day I will get inside to see the palace." I was shocked to think she lived so close to some place so grand and she had never been inside to check it out.
We all enjoyed our day out and the best part was they were having Henry VIII and Catherine Parr's wedding! Jenna thought they were the real King and Queen, but she was confused because she knows that the current queen is Elizabeth....I think she finally figured it out that they were pretending.

Spring break-Bath

Spring break started last Thursday afternoon and that is when we loaded up the car and headed south......we decided to start the break out in style with an action packed first weekend. We had a place to see all three days we were gone......Bath, Caerphilly Wales and Hampton Court Palace. We also spent some time with one of Rob's friends from back in the day (and B's family). We all had a really fun time and were exhausted when we returned home late Sunday night.

Below is a few pictures from Bath.

organization tips

I'm going to get in on the fun over at Kelly's Korner and pass along a few organization tips. First off, I would like to say I want to live in a house with kids that doesn't look like I have kids....but that isn't going to happen. My girls love to keep everything......every little note they make for their dolls and every toy from the fast food places.
Since living in the UK and not having many closets I have been better about organizing my things....which means fitting as much as I can in just 5 closets in our house. I am using the under the stairs as storage and my food pantry. I use a door shoe holder for snacks and small items in that closet. I also have shelves on top of shelves in the closets upstairs. I use the large plastic bags from the comforters to store bed linens and out of season clothing in. I also use under the beds for storage.

busy life

Well life has been very busy with sickness, school, ballet, swimming, baby and all the other things going on in our lives. I was going to try really hard to keep up with the blog and try to blog often, but I haven't updated since our anniversary. Nothing much is going on with us these days...just waiting on the news of a move date and trying to get things in order for the trip back over the pond.
We are all excited about the move and will post more information as we get it.
Sorry for the short post, but the baby is fussy and needs me.
