figured it out....I think!

I've been looking for a free program to add my "stamp" to my photos and I did it! It will take a little work to get the pictures on the blog, but this will just show the pictures belong to me.
This photo did appear on my blog before...a trip to the NC aquarium in July!

Happy Friday!

Jenna asked me to take these pictures of Sarah.
You can see the cheese just a little....but Sarah was covered in cheese and Ranch dressing!

Sarah's new favorite phrase...."OH, my goodness!"

Haircuts

This summer while at my parents house the girls finally figured out that their Aunt S and I did a little hair care on a barbie doll (and few other dolls) when we were younger.
The poor barbie is still "alive" and kinda well, but still has the worst hair cut EVER!HA

So last night Meghan was thinking back to my awesome skills.....I mean she was thinking about cutting doll hair and came up with a great idea! She decided that her and Jenna could wash, cut and style their doll heads (or whatever you call them). I thought they would have fun doing it...but did remind them the dolls hair wouldn't grow back. I told Rob I needed to get the "want" out of their systems, so no one else gets a haircut!
They did great, made a huge mess and the dolls hair actually looks much better than it did before they cut it.

I kept Sarah busy and out of sight. I didn't need her getting any great ideas about hair and scissors.

I told them they did such a great job they could go to hair school when they get older and open up a shop together! They loved that idea and Jenna said Meghan might like to do nails too.
Whatever they decide to do, they will be great at it!

First day of school....2nd and 3rd graders.....and a 20 month old

First day of school for my 7 year old, 2nd grader and 8 year old, 3rd grader!
They didn't seem as nervous as me, thankfully, and our first morning went smoothly.
We headed out a little early to get a parking spot. I walked both to their classrooms and both teachers seem nice. I really hope they both have a great teacher and an awesome school year.
I am so thankful we went ahead a moved here at the end of last school year. It was only 5 weeks, but that made today a little easier on us.

Sarah is also 20 months old today!! She has been having some rough nights, so she was a little tired this morning. She seemed excited to see the girls off at school and she waved at as many kids as she could. After we pulled away from the school she started asking for her sisters. She loves her big sisters and will miss playing with them during the day this school year.
Sarah has started going to child watch at the YMCA. I think that will help her when she heads out to school in a few years (and I get some time to workout)!

Sissy seemed a little nervous this morning and was hanging pretty close to the girls.

The girls got their American girl dolls ready for school last night and Meghan's doll showed up for breakfast this morning! (I think Jenna's doll was still in bed).

My girls

My three beautiful girls.
I am happy I was able to capture three smiles, all looking at the camera, all dressed, and hair brushed/fixed.

It took me a "few" pictures before I felt I got the perfect one!
This one was not as close as I wanted it.

Trying to get Sarah to smile in the pictures was a little difficult. The camera's green light was bugging her.

I actually love this picture because Sarah has a "what the..." look!Haha

Love these sweet girls!

Stroller time

Someone got a new stroller today!

Sarah had a little baby stroller, but it only worked while she was trying to walk. After she was walking it wasn't fun to push and she never played with it.

This stroller is the perfect size for her.

My little Mama is growing up way too fast.

No picture Tuesday

I feel like I forgot to put something on today.....well at least that is the feeling I get when I blog and don't include a picture! I haven't snapped many pictures lately, but will try and get some new ones up soon.
We have been busy with museums, pools, gymnastics, school shopping, organizing and chasing around a 1.5 year old!
The girls started gymnastics two weeks ago at the local YMCA and they LOVE it! They have asked to be in a gymnastics class for a long time and we finally found them one that is reasonably priced and a great program. We are members at the Y and I have taken them to swim a few times and I look forward to getting back into a "regular" workout routine once school starts. The cool part is the two hours of child watch that is included in my membership fees.
Not that I'm counting for any reason...but we have lived in Ohio for a little over three months! I think I got a taste of what fall might be like and I think I'm going to LOVE it! This area really is great for families and I really hope the girls have a great school year coming up. I think they are nervous about starting (still kinda feels like a new school to them). Hard to believe I have a 2nd grader and 3rd grader.....and an almost 2 year old.
The girls and I may have found our "new" church! St. Andrews UMC in Beavercreek! We got a really good feel this past Sunday, so we will be going back and the girls will start Sunday School classes in September.
I've been surprising Rob each day this week with new walls hangings!Ha Well, let me actually say...not new...but I was holding off on hanging any pictures because I wanted to paint.....but after painting Meghan and Jenna's rooms, I decided to take it slow. I do have a few things on my "want" list....but will get what I have hung up and the house feeling more organized and put together. I would have the whole house decorated and put together in weeks when we were moving with the military, but took a little more time this round, since we plan to stay a while.
Well I think that was enough rambling for one evening!

Green thumb

These are not great pictures of my garden....but I wanted to show my Mom and Dad what it looks like.
I was gone for a week and a half and Rob watered the garden...but the weeds went crazy during that time too.
I keep the weeds down, but will not win the battle with them this year. I have a few ideas for next year's garden.

What do I have planted, you ask?.....
Watermelon, carrots, cucumbers, green onions, tomato plant, strawberry plant, pumpkins and peas.
My tomato plant died and I only got a few little tomatoes off it.
The strawberry plant was doing great until a few days ago...not looking so good and the strawberries aren't getting very big.
Tons of peas, onion and cucumbers.
I planted late, so no watermelon or pumpkins yet.....I hope I get at least one of each.
For anyone wondering what the heck is behind the garden....lots and lots of limbs (and a tree we cut down). We finally took care of that mess, so the view is much better!
*you can click on the pictures for a close up of all the weeds!haha
