Halloween

The begging started early tonight at my house!
Sarah wanted some cheese right before dinner and I didn't let her have any, so she stood at the frig and cried.
She didn't nap today, so she was a little emotional this evening.

Sarah did decide to put on the monkey costume and go trick or treating with the big girls this evening.

The big girls decided to be scary vampires this year!

We had a fun time out in the neighborhood.
Great neighbors and lot's of goodies were given out.

Sarah fell asleep before we could get back home and the big girls were cold, but I think they would have stayed out longer if I had let them!

Halloween weekend

We started out Halloween activities today with pumpkin painting and then we headed to our Church's trunk or treat!
The girls have used costumes this year we already owned and I think they all picked out cute costumes for today's party.

Meghan is a doctor, Jenna is a cat and Sarah is a monkey.
Sarah will be a monkey on Halloween night....but stayed tuned for two scary costumes for the big girls (if they stick with the plan!)

Hay ride.....check!

Trunk or treating.....check!

The girls also did a cake walk, face painting, craft, apple bobbing and other games at church today.
They all had a blast and Sarah had a sugar high for a few hours when we returned home this evening!

Before we went to the church party, the big girls painted the pumpkins.
The girls and I will attempt to use the pumpkins this year for baking. They are pretty big, so we should be able to get a lot of pumpkin to use.

Meghan and Jenna love all things crafty!
Sarah does too....but some things are easier to do while she is napping.
Sarah likes to taste everything, so painting with her is hands on for me.

Hope everyone is having a great Halloween weekend and stay tuned for pictures from trick or treating night!

22 months old

This is what a 22 month old looks like around my house!
I pull out the camera and she tries to hide and flips around.
She will move quickly out of this stage....I hope!

Sarah is sweet and lovable...when she wants to be.
She is also very busy and loves to get into everything...all the time!

Sarah can sing the whole ABC song, can count to 10, and will tell us some colors correctly.
She also loves to tell us happy birthday...all the time!
Potty training is going well too. I am letting her run the show with the potty training since she is still under 2...and I hope it works well.

Sarah loves to watch Dora and Blue's Clues.
Baby girl isn't a baby anymore.

fall/halloween decorations

Happy Halloween month!
It not only looks like fall around here, but it feels like it too.

Thought I would share a little of our fall/halloween decorations with you.

The little pumpkins on my table and the two halloween bottles were purchased at one of the fall bazaars while we lived in the UK.
We need to find a really cool picture to hang above our fireplace/mantel....
it will remain empty until the "right one" is found!

I love my fall daisy flowers...they come out every year! They are in a vase I purchased while we lived in California. We have so many keepsakes from all over the world!

Museum visit

Things to do in Dayton with a family.....Boonshoft museum.
One of the best things I did after we moved here was to get an annual membership to this museum. Not only can we go whenever we want for free....there is two sister sites we haven't checked out yet....and we get discounts on like 300 other places....
Today was Rob's first time going with us...since we normally go when the girls are out of school and he is working.

We showed him as much of the museum as we could.
The first picture is everyone checking out the Meerkats. They were more active today than we have ever seen them! Super cute watching them with a worker. They were trying to sniff and check her out and then they would run and try to hide from her.

We played with puzzles and magnets.

Rob didn't get the memo...but all the girls had our ECU shirts on today!

I think Sarah remembered the museum and wanted to play with everthing! She was so excited and would play a little bit then say..."all done Mom"!

Cheese!

The girls love love love the water table!

Sarah went down the little kids slide all on her own!

I was able to do a little more with Sarah since Rob was with us to keep an eye on the big girls.

The girls had so much fun showing Rob around and I think he enjoyed the museum too.
***side note for Kristy......the puzzle room has moved on and has been replaced with a Robot exhibit. It isn't as much fun, but will do for the next few months.
There is also a really cool exhibit about jewelry too (it replaced a toy exhibit!
I like that exhibits change and there is always something new around the corner. We will be spending a lot of chilly winter days playing at the Boonshoft museum!
