Basketball camp 2012

Jenna went to a basketball camp this week at Beavercreek High School.

The camp was run by Coach Ed Zink  and Amanda Reese.

Zink was Beavercreek High Schools head coach for 37 years.

He was 2nd all time wins in Ohio Girls Basketball (671-192).

Amanda Reese was Beavercreeks all time leading scorer and is currently Division III College Coach at North Park University. They also had some great ladies that were past Beavercreek basketball players helping out.

They were really patient and worked great with the girls.

The camp was 4 hours a day for 4 days and they worked the girls the whole time.

Jenna was exhausted every afternoon and each day we went to pick her up, I noticed she was more confident in her game.

I am so proud of her and all her hard work.

She received free throw champ for the 3rd graders.

She got 7 out of 10 shots!

Way to go Jenna!!

Seeing an old friend

It's been about 11 or 12 years since we saw Dave last.  He was in our wedding and we have been friends with him for many many years.

He was visiting family in Ohio, so we got lucky and he drove down our way to see the Air Force museum and us.

After all those years, it was like we had not missed a year of hanging out.

Still joking, talking and having fun....we are all still cool like that!haha

Meghan and Jenna took a few photos while we were checking out the museum.

And all the girls got to hang out and goof off.

They all hit it off great and had fun too.

The visit was too short, but I'm sure we will see them again and not wait 11 years this time.

Colors

I took this picture yesterday morning before the girls and I headed out to Boonshoft Museum.

I love all our colors and they came in handy when the girls went into a maze.

I just looked for them by the color of their shoes! 

Summer vacation, or as I like to call it staycation has kicked off and we have a lot planned for this weekend and next week!

Show us your life~ Living rooms

Welcome to my living room! I'm linking up today with Kelly's Korner for the Show us your life series and today is living rooms.   This room would be considered the family room to some, but we call it the living room. We kick back, relax and the girls drag all their toys to this room. I took these pictures today after I cleaned it up.

We have picked the new wall color and it's the middle tan (hopsack by Valspar) and I hope to get this room painted this year. We have a few other projects going on at the same time, so hopefully the painting will happen.

We will change the trim to white too.

I can't show what the room looks like from the other side because I don't want to show my kitchen just yet.

We have just had new cabinets and countertops put in and I want to reveal them after backsplash is up and paint is done.

This room is open to the kitchen. 

I need some ideas for the mantel. I have my tree guys hanging out until I put them back in the kitchen. I also hope to purchase some more canvas prints of castles. This picture is one my husband took during our visit at Windsor Castle in England.

This is the door to the garage and the other one just barely in the picture is the laundry room door.

We are really enjoying adding our own touches to this home and one day we will have our huge list of "to dos" done!
